On Saturday morning, a drunk driver caused an accident during the Ronde van Aruba. The participants of the Greenlink Eagles team became victims.
The driver of the Kia hit some people accompanying the participants and some participants were injured as well. The victims were taken to the hospital for medical attention.
The police attended to the intoxicated driver and detained him at the scene. This accident, caused by a drunk driver, cast a dark cloud over the beautiful event that had started well throughout the night.
An investigation began immediately. The Kia was confiscated after detaining the driver. The accident happened just before 6:00 in the morning on Green Corridor at the Wayaca Falls.
