The government is ignoring the escalating problems of multiplication, abuse, and negligence of dogs!

Did you know that more than 70% of dogs in Aruba live in a deploring state and abused? Did you know that the primary problem of overpopulation of dogs in Aruba is due to the ‘breeding’ of dogs? Followed by owners who do not sterilize their domestic dogs? Did you know that in 2020, 7 out of 10 families who own dogs in Aruba chooses to buy one instead of rescuing or adopting one?

Different foundations are trying in any way they can to receive support from the Government, to open their eyes to this sad reality. Instead, they choose to ignore it.

The foundations are daily trying to solve problems that are the responsibility of our community, a social problem that deserves our government’s attention. They prefer to promote white sandy beaches, our 5-star island, and the intelligence of the people who can speak four languages, but this is the reality of how we treat our animals in Aruba-’One Happy Island’-.

The foundations are urging the Government to lend a helping hand with this issue. As long as there is no law in place to protect our animals or stop the breeding and selling of dogs, there is no way for this problem to be solved!

“The dogs on the street reflects our immature and failed society because the greatness of a nation and its moral progress is judged by the way they treat their animals.”

“The more helpless a life is, the more it is in its right to be protected from humanity’s cruelty.”

Sometimes the difference between life and death is YOU; Adopt/Rescue/Foster/Care/Help-but don’t turn your back without doing anything!
