Serlimar working to lower the pile of garbage, so it’s more accessible

During the meeting on the supplementary budget in Parliament, Prime Minister Evelyn Wever-Croes answered and elaborated on different topics from the questions she received. She reacted to the actual situation in Parkietenbos.

There needs to be a solution to this problem in Parkietenbos because the residents in that area deserve better. Serlimar has begun working on lowering the pile of garbage, and so it becomes more accessible to do work there and avoid the starting and extinguishing of fires. According to the Prime Minister, this is receiving the necessary attention.

Serlimar informed that they handed in a budget to the ex-Minister requesting 1.5 million, who did nothing with it. “If it’s 1.5 million is what it takes to avoid fire up there, we are willing to come up with the money from anywhere.  At least then, the neighborhood won’t be bothered by it anymore,” the Prime Minister emphasized.
