Arnalda Lampe: Must be careful with ingredients in face painting

There are different types of skin. If you have conditions like acne, psoriasis, or eczema, it is better not to use anything, like f.e. face painting, because it can cause an allergy reaction, according to beauty specialist Arnalda Lampe.

It can burn your face or give you blisters. Many products may contain chemicals that cause allergies. Face painting is available for the ages of babies to kids to adults and is mostly used during Halloween or at children’s parties. You must be very careful when using it, and it is recommended not to use it on children with very thin and sensitive skin.

When a kid starts complaining about itching because of the face paint, wash his/her face right away with warm water. Try not to use any soap or face cleansing products because it can make it worse.

If a child develops a burn or blisters, it is advisable to take him/her to see a doctor. Please do not put anything else on it until you get a recommendation from the doctor.

Other things that may help is Aloe Vera; for those that aren’t allergic to it, drink chamomile tea or put some on your skin, but not when it is hot. These are natural remedies that could help with the redness.
