Coastguard : Tense situation during spearfishing control

While people who spearfishes are waiting for their permit, others are causing problems. During their control in the palm beach area, the coastguard saw a man dressed in a diving suit in the sea. When they approached him to ask what he was doing, he told them that he was enjoying the day with his family. Because he looked suspicious, they asked him for his speargun, but he dropped everything and ran to the shore. A member of the coastguard jumped into the water and followed the man to shore, where he found the speargun and some small fish he had shot.

This type of behavior causes harm to the group of people who have been fighting for years to get their spearfishing permit, to be able to hunt at the areas reserved for this. This is why the Government and Minister Andin Bikker wants to help them. If the man that was spearfishing near Phoenix Hotel had a permit, he would have lost it for sure.
