Prime Minister: Salary cut of 12.6% will continue in 2021

Prime minister Evelyn Wever-Croes, together with Ministers Andin Bikker, Rudy Lampe, and Glenbert Croes, met with labor unions SADA, SEPA, TOPA, and SIMAR.

Another topic that was discussed is the salary cut of 12.6%.

The Prime Minister said that based on the agreements with the Netherlands, the salary cut would remain “until further notice.” The Government now depends on financing from the Netherlands, and this is one of the conditions.

The Government agreed that they would continue meeting with the labor unions to keep them informed of any developments. The Prime Minister did mention, however, that there will not be any more salary cuts.
