Prime Minister Evelyn Wever-Croes continued with her visit to the departments that are now part of her ministry. One of them is Directie Informatievoorziening en Automatisering (DIA), situated on L.G. Smith Blvd.
According to what the Prime Minister told an employee, she is familiar with this department because she had to attend to this department during her 13 years of working at the Tax Office. And she is aware that they do not receive enough attention.
Because more Government Departments are being digitalized, the role of DIA regarding governmental operations is becoming more significant. “We must fix the foundation so that the department can offer the services expected from them.”
Her visit was also to listen to the workers’ concerns and where they would like to see improvement.
