This year was Federacion di Deportenan di Motor di Aruba’s first anniversary. They are in charge of managing the property at Palo Margo regarding drag race. Richard Every, president of the federation, explained that the board was installed at the end of 2019.
This year had many challenges due to Covid-19. One of the challenges was to improve the situation of the property at Palo Marga.
For the second half of 2021, they are working on a calendar even though the protocols change monthly. Depending on how the Covid-19 situation develops next year will adapt certain rules and protocols.
They are also planning on opening the complex to other sports because of the size of the lot. Sports, like cycling and running that don’t get permits to organize an event easily due to the agglomeration of people, may host the event there. Hopefully, then we will be able to host events at Palo Marga weekly.
The federation is working together with an architect on a Master Plan and a Business Plan. Hopefully, they will be able to present it soon to different Governmental Departments to continue with the development of the complex.
