The mother of Richie lived in fear for a long time. She couldn’t sleep nor eat at ease in her own home. A lot of times, she had to hide her food out of fear of Richie poisoning her. “I couldn’t take it anymore,” Aida Danies told us in front of the Courthouse. She went to ask for a restraining order against Richi.
Yesterday afternoon Richie Danies was in Court for the accusations against him. His case will continue on March 5th, but Richie claimed that they are taking too long on his case while they are already done with his probation report.
His mother and an uncle were also present during the hearing. Outside, the mother commented about all the torture she had endured by Richie, her only son. She doesn’t recognize her son anymore.
“It hurts, but the threat we would receive from him regularly was not fair. And living together in the same house. I couldn’t sleep at night, not knowing what he would be capable of doing. I called the police for him when one day he showed up with a jerry-can threatening to burn down the house.”
Not only the mother but also aunts and uncles went through a lot at the hands of Richie. Now they teamed up and signed a letter asking Court and other authorities to grant them a restraining order so that Richie could not come close to them. “And we are still living in fear,” the mother said.
