Over the past few weeks a team of five Post Aruba staff have been receiving training in sanitization by the Volunteer Ministers from the Freewinds. The team has gone through all aspects of what is needed to keep the postal service staff and customers safe.
In a small ceremony at the Oranjestad Post Office the five-member task force were presented with the certificates as qualified foggers in the application of Decon 7. Decon 7 is the most effective agent in killing all types of viruses and bacteria, being
99.9999% effective. But for D7 to be fully effective proper procedures must be precisely followed. This is why the complete training includes video instruction, lecture and practical drilling in the use of the equipment and the application of the product.
Not only do the task force members have earned their certificates by completing the training successfully but they also now have their own D7 kit containing all the tools and materials needed to continue to carry out effective sanitization of post office buildings and vehicles.
In exchange for all the help the Volunteer Ministers have provided Post Aruba from the beginning of the pandemic, the Director of Post Aruba, Mr. Guillermo Raymond, presented the Freewinds with a recognition letter saying: “I want to thank you for the
fast response when we needed help, and not only once but more than once. This pandemic brought something positive: new friends and the fact that we learned to count on each other!”
