According to Monday’s report on the 1st of March, 37 people have recovered after contracting the coronavirus.

The report also mentions 27 new cases of COVID-19, of which 8 are non-residents. The number of non-residents who have tested positive for COVID-19 entails those who test positive at the airport upon arrival and those who test positive at the testing facilities before departing Aruba.

The total number of tests performed at the various locations, namely the hospital lab, private labs, and the airport test is 778. The positivity rate among residents is 11%.

As of today, there are 240 active cases and the number of deaths related to COVID-19 raised to 73. Our condolences go out to the families who have lost loved ones.

The hospital has informed us that of the 28 people they’re treating, 7 of which are in the Intensive Care and 21 are in the general internal COVID unit. Of these, 8 new patients were submitted since only yesterday. The mean age of those admitted for extra care is 63.
