An employee working for the watersport owned by the Lopez family was filmed causing damage to bufferzone’s buoys. The man did not know he was being filmed. People who love our beaches and want protection for those who swim in them sounded the alarm by calling the police right when they noticed what was happening.
Police immediately arrived at the scene and dealt with the man. While the police were talking to him, the man fled and police attempted to pursue him.
Backup was called and a search was launched in the area near Paradise and La Cabana. Police searched near the pools for the watersport employee.
Finally, the vandal was found and his identity is known. The Lopez family has said that they will take full responsibility for the damage costs.
