Mother and daughter tied up by robbers

It was around 11:35 pm when neighbors sounded the alarms in Pagaistraat for an armed robbery. The police rushed to the scene and encountered a mother and her daughter tied up in their own home at Pagaistraat 15.

According to official police information based on the declarations of the victims, three Spanish-speaking men entered the home carrying firearms, tied them up, and started robbing them. They took a sum of money; the exact amount is still unknown.

The neighbors contacted 24ora.com exclusively to say that they saw a white vehicle speed out of the street, indicating their suspicion in their involvement. The victims themselves are new to the neighborhood, so the neighbors do not know much about them or what could possibly warrant anybody to be attacked like this.

The home in question is a part of a larger apartment complex, in which the Venezuelan residents of Peruvian descent are staying. They were planning on traveling soon and were saving up some money for their trip. The mother was on the phone when the robbers entered their home. Her screams for help called her neighbors as well as the person on the other end of the phone into action. That is when the police were called and notified of the robbery taking place.

According to the protocol, the criminal police department arrived to take over the case. And the victim support unit was also called to tend to the mother and daughter who were left frightened after the events of the night.
