It was a little before 11:00 pm when the police encountered a car stopped on the side of Caya Betico Croes road near Casa Vieja Restaurant. The driver appeared to be unconscious and was not responding.
The patrol group encountered the blue Hyundai Getz with its driver passed out behind the wheel. Witnesses were saying that they saw the car coming and slowly stop on the side of the road, whereafter the driver just collapsed right in front of them.
The police attempted to wake the driver, but he was completely unresponsive. Since the driver was unconscious and unable to communicate at all, they called an ambulance. Paramedics tended to the man in an attempt to let him gain consciousness. They managed to put the man on a stretcher and transported him to the hospital for further medical treatment.
