Airport: passengers must wear facemasks

There is a video circulating around that shows passengers in the airport’s arrival hall, indicating that our island’s tourism is not doing too badly. However, it is alarming that they are not maintaining the proper social distance.

Meanwhile, the spokesmen for AAA NV, Endy Croes indicated that the airport is still the same size as when COVID-19 started. “It is difficult to maintain such crowds while also requiring them to keep their social distance. But if everyone wears a facemask, this should not be a problem”, Croes says. People should abide by the rules and wear a facemask while keeping distance whenever possible, he added.

In spite of this, it does serve as an indication that the number of visitors to Aruba is rising once more, which is surely a good sign.

AAA is aware of this and is attempting to coordinate the best way of handling the gathering of passengers in the arrival hall. The most important thing is that everybody has their facemasks on. Then there is no issue, Croes said lastly.
