This morning at around 4:45 am, the police went to Ruiz Take Away in Tanki Leendert because it had been robbed. The thief used a hammer to break the door and enter the establishment. During this robbery, the thief attempted to take a case of malta and sodas. They were unable to take much because the building’s security staff sprang into action.
When the security company’s staff arrived, the thief fled, leaving behind a case of malta. A little further away, they encountered that the thief had left behind their bike along with another case of malta. The owner of the establishment also arrived to find out all that happened.
“Something this troublesome in the early morning hours”, were the owner’s words. This is not the first time that this snack truck has been in the news. On the 22nd of March, robbers attacked Well Done Truck and Ruiz Take Away right around the time they were closing and stole 100 florin.
On that day, they lost track of the robbers in the bushes behind the food trucks. In the morning hours, the police arrested two suspects in relation to this attack. It is unknown if the same people are involved in this attack, or if other robbers are involved. All we know is that today’s robber was left without their bike and without a case of malta!
