Last Wednesday the suspect Benny Sevinger and Claudia Sevinger were arrested. The parliamentarian is suspected of various crimes, namely bribery, abuse of office whitewashing money, and partaking in an illegal organization.
The former minister’s wife is suspected of whitewashing money. Today, in the afternoon, the chief commissioner dealt with their case and decided to extend both of their sentences for now, while the investigation is still ongoing.
For now, they can be detained for a maximum of 8 more days. If their sentence is to be prolonged before these 8 days are up, the chief commissioner will have to be approached with and then approve of the same request.
