Police conducting speed checks

Yesterday at around 6:00 pm the police held a traffic inspection to monitor the speed with which the vehicles were driving between ‘Ser’i Teishi’ and the roundabout near the Drive-in. the agents stood strategically with their radar speed guns in hand to detect the velocity of the vehicles.

As was expected, there were some who uphold the maximum speed and some who surpassed it. There were some vehicles that were driving so quickly that they hardly managed to stop in time when the police gave them the signal.

It was made abundantly clear that those who surpassed the speed limit will have a high sum to pay as their fine because the police do not take this matter lightly. Driving at such speeds puts not only their own lives at risk, but is a danger to others as well. The police will continue to hold traffic inspections to ensure the safety of those threading on Aruba’s roads.
