Majority of ICU patients sent to Colombia: two unvaccinated residents have passed away

According to today’s DVG report, 112 people have recovered from COVID-19 and there were a total of 56 new cases registered. Of these new cases, 3 are tourists and 53 are residents. This number represents a 29% positivity rate amongst our residents.

The total number of active COVID-19 cases is now 1026 and the number of COVID-related deaths is 121. Two residents have passed away, they were both above the age of 75 and neither of them were vaccinated. Our sincerest condolences go out to the families and friends of the deceased. 

The data indicates a continuous increase in new cases of a weekly averaging to 119 new cases per day and an average daily positivity rate of 29%.

The hospital has 59 people admitted, of which 6 are in the ICU here on the island while 8 are admitted in the ICU on Colombia, 41 patients are on the general floor and one regnant patient is on the maternity ward.
