According to today’s report, 154 people have recovered from COVID-19 and there were a total of 118 new cases registered. Of these new cases, 9 are tourists and 109 are residents. This number represents a 27% positivity rate amongst our residents.
The total number of active COVID-19 cases is now 1055 and the number of COVID-related deaths is 124. Yesterday it was reported that a tourist had passed away, but that has since been corrected, as the victim was actually local.
The data indicates a continuous increase in new cases of a weekly averaging to 99 new cases per day and an average daily positivity rate of 26%.
The hospital has informed us that there are currently 83 people admitted, of which 9 are in the ICU here on Aruba while the other 14 ICU patients are in Colombia. Furthermore, 56 patients are on the general floor, one child is admitted to the pediatric ward, and two pregnant patients are currently on the maternity ward.
