According to today’s report, 101 people have recovered from COVID-19 and there were a total of 55 new cases registered. Of these new cases, 6 are tourists and 49 are residents. This number represents a 28% positivity rate amongst our residents. The total number of active COVID-19 cases is now 747 and the number of COVID-related deaths is 126.
The data indicates a continuous increase in new cases of a weekly averaging to 91 new cases per day and an average daily positivity rate of 26%.
The hospital has informed us that there are currently 65 people admitted, of which 12 are in the ICU here on Aruba while the other 14 ICU patients are in Colombia. Furthermore, 38 patients are on the general floor on the island while there is also one pregnant patient on the maternity ward.
