After three months: once again arrests dealt for trespassing curfew

At around 11:30 pm, the first arrest was made in the Madiki area for trespassing the curfew. Here, they encountered a shirtless man walking around outside, apparently unaware that he was breaking the law. The police detained the man immediately and transported him to the police station. Various police patrol units were pending in all districts to see where the first suspect would be arrested for breaking the curfew. For the most part, however, the streets were pretty deserted.

A few vehicles that were stopped for inspection were able to demonstrate that they had good reason to be out on the street past the curfew. They were either on their way home from work or on their way to work. There were also people who were on their way to the pharmacy to tend to a sick loved one at home. those are all regarded as valid reasons to be out on the street past curfew.

The police made use of the “Cuerpo Especial Arubano” or CEA to make the necessary transportations after the few arrests that occurred during the curfew. For more coverage on the matter, read TREMPAN.
