The Netherlands sends extra doctors and nurses to Arub

“Good news for Aruba” said the minister of public health, tourism and sport, Dangui Odubee a little while ago on his Facebook page. Oduber is pleased because the secretary of state for public health, wellness and sport in The Netherlands, Paul Blokhuis, agreed to Aruba’s petition to have more personnel sent to the island in order to help in the Dr. Horacio E. Oduber Hospital.
Dangui Oduber was proud to announce that 10 additional nurses to help in the ICU along with two ICU specialists. These two specialist are scarse on the island and are very much needed in the hospital in order to deal with the fourth wave of COVID-19 patients. as a result of this new wave, many patients have been admitted to the ICU, which is an issue at the moment, since there are not enough staff members to deal with all the patients. This is also the reason why many patients have been sent to Colombia for medical attention.
“I thank the secretary of state, Blokhuis, from the bottom of my heart for complying with our petition. Together we will get out of this annoying situation”, stated minister Oduber a little while ago.
