The road right behind the Citgo Palm Beach frequently causes problems with still-standing water. According to preoccupied residents, Alvaro Boekhoudt, stated that DOW was supposedly going to help build a sewer system there, but that would not help with all the potholes which are actually damaging the vehicles.
They continued explaining that they have been working on this road for quite some time now, but that the project is still not finished. He wants to know who is going to be responsible for fixing his vehicle. His car fell into one of the bigger potholes in the road. He called 100 and 911, who both recommended that he call road service, which also took quite a lot of time.
He also explained that, after speaking to someone at DOW, he came to understand that it is not an issue concerning a sewer system. It actually concerns an incline a little further along the road, that had to be dug out in order to be connected to the other sewer systems. This is what caused the issue because, after all the rainfall, this large hole basically became a moat that prevented people from being able to leave their homes.
