The data indicates a continuous increase in new cases of a weekly averaging to 68 new cases per day and an average daily positivity rate of 24%.

The hospital has informed us that there are currently 52 people admitted, of which 12 are in the ICU here on Aruba while the other 16 ICU patients are in Colombia. Furthermore, 40 patients are on the general floor on the island.

Since the start of July, the DELTA variant has caused 30 people to have lost their lives to the virus. Of the 30 people who have passed away, 5 people had one or more vaccinations, while the other 25 people were not vaccinated. Based on this information, we can safely state that a person who is vaccinated has a higher chance of surviving the COVID virus than someone who is unvaccinated.
