During the persecutor’s requisition, he believed that partner Croes-Paesch did not appear to understand the situation. He was (wrongfully) using his foundation to launder money. He was asking for monetary donations in exchange for exemption.
In court, Paul Croes asked that they keep his current situation into account, namely that he has not had an income for the past two years. But, according to the persecutor, neither Croes nor Paesch showed any remorse for their actions. They asked for their situation to be taken into account, but did they think twice about the people from who they took the money.
It was asked that the GEA sentence be disregarded and that Paul Croes awaits his sentencing in KIA.
