An unfortunate case of vandalism occurred this past weekend while Aruba celebrated the National Light Parade. A preschool was trashed and destroyed by vandals.
Kerekentenchi preschool is located on Long Fellowstraat #3 in downtown Oranjestad next to Mon Plaisir. The school was found in a state of total chaos. Materials were broken and school property was thrown everywhere around the yard. With immense sadness workers picked up broken toys and threw them out.
The school now finds themselves in a painful situation where they all of a sudden have to find the funds to cover the costs of damages. Many of the materials have either come from donations by businesses or people with good hearts.
The school is asking, despite the fact that we are all going through difficult times, any company with room in their budget for some help with recovering at least a part of what they have lost.
