Santa Cruz police were alerted for a drunk driver near Fofoti Tours and stopped him right away. It quickly became known that the driver was involved in a hit and run in front of the Jo-Ann Bar in Mahuma.
According to reports, the accident occurred around 7:30 am in front of Jo-Ann Bar in Mahuma and the driver had not even stopped. He continued driving until a police patrolling the area took note of his erratic driving on the road behind the airport.
Here, the police managed to stop the driver right near Fofoti Tours. The vehicle was a blue Nissan Platina (A-77519). Right away, it was noticeable that the man could no longer drive the vehicle as he almost fell out the moment police ordered him to exit the car.
Police transportation was requested after the man was arrested at the scene. A while later, and after some struggling, they managed to get the man into the vehicle and transported him to the police station.
