This morning, the Court treated the criminal case against the accused, Angelo Apostel. He is accused of committing immoral acts including sexual penetration with a girl over the age of 12 and younger than the age of 16. This act is punishable by law and is the reason why he had to appear in court.
The judge found him guilty of having sexual relations with a 14 year old child, who is the mother of his own child. For this crime, he was handed the sentence that prosecutors demanded which is 7 days in prison, 240 hours of community service, conditional time and one year of probation.
Right at the end of the case, he stated that he would not appeal the verdict. The then 14 year old girl who he had sexual relations with was also present in court. For more information, read tomorrow’s edition of TREMPAN.
