Pharmacy personnel sounded the alarms for a man who entered and then exited the store running, having taken some items with him on the way out. The police arrived right away and started reporting the incident so that they could commence their search for the individual.
This took place at around 1:45 pm at “Botica Oduber” at the end of Caya Grandi in Playa. According to our sources, the person who robbed them is someone they know by the name of Gomez. They attempted to keep the man inside the pharmacy, but their efforts were unsuccessful. They provided the police with the man’s description and they started searching the area to see if they could find the suspect.
It did not take long before they found the man in Concessielaan (behind Lucky Store), where a patrol unit indicated that they found the suspect. While they were dealing with this situation, people in the area stated that the abandoned building was not only in bad condition but that it was unhygienic.
An unpleasant smell was seeping through the entire neighborhood. They then noticed excrement thrown all around the vicinity. An elderly woman was seen on the veranda with a lot of cats around her. It could be seen that the home was deteriorating. The woman stated that “those are simply vitamins”
For the aforementioned reasons, the police opted to call the City Inspector to come to take a look at the situation and to bring some relief to the neighbors living in the area who have to suffer through the smell of poop permeating the entire neighborhood.
