An accident occurred this afternoon on the main road in Tanki Leendert. According to reports at the scene, a vehicle had reportedly cut off the officer on the motorcycle causing him to collide and fall to the ground.
The accident occurred around 4:30 pm when additional backup was called as well as paramedics for the injured colleague in Tanki Leendert. The accident occurred in front of the Wendy’s in the area.
The other vehicle involved, a red Toyota Passo, also received significant damage after colliding with the wall of a nearby house. The driver was also injured.
Meanwhile, the officer was laying on the ground in the middle of the street with his motorcycle also on the ground nearby. The officer ensured bystanders that he was uninjured but authorities at the scene did not hesitate and immediately requested an ambulance to provide medical assistance to the injured victims.
As expected, traffic in the area was backed up and caused other alternative routes to also stagnate.
