A young man on a scooter crashed on Driemasterstraat in Playa. He was reaching a traffic stop in Madiki when he fell over. At first, he thought that he had collided with a vehicle. The young man was seated on the sidewalk waiting on help.
Police rushed to the scene. Even so, before they arrived, a white Nissan RHD got there before them. The young man, despite being all bruised from his accident, got into the vehicle and abandoned the scene. By the time the police arrived, he had already gone. The vehicle likely transported the young man to the hospital. Police spoke to witnesses at the scene and also confiscated the scooter that was moved onto the sidewalk by some bystanders and then left behind at the scene. Even though the license plate did not correspond with its papers, the scooter was still brought to the police station and is pending further investigation.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash in Driemasterstraat. In the end, only the marks could be seen on the road.
