Monday afternoon at around 4:55 pm, a persecution took place in Playa. Starting in the area behind La Salle College, the chase was started for a white Nissan March.They followed the car down various streets and the chase terminated in Celsiusstraat, Companashi.
The police detained the driver right away. They did not have a valid driver’s license. The driver was accompanied by 4 other people inside the vehicle, three women and one man. The passengers were left stranded and ended up walking home. The police confiscated the vehicle and transported the driver to the police station.
Inside the vehicle the police found two weapons, some drugs as well as drug-related items.
