Silver medal for Aruba in International tournament in Mexico

Joshua Paredes competed in the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF), Pan Ams Championship in Mexico, in which he managed to get the silver medal in his category.

This is Joshua’s third time going to America to compete. He remembers his first time around, the goals were more simple. Now this was his third time and his goals have changed. He is now set on becoming the champion in amateur worldwide, and further on, becoming a professional. He is only nineteen years old, as in no rush, for now, he is just happy to be gaining experience.

Joshua prepared a lot for this competition, training 5 times a day, starting at 6:00 am and lasting up until 9:00 pm. In the end, he is pleased with his performance in Mexico. According to Joshua, his final opponent was just a little bit stronger. His first fight was against an American fighter which he won.

Now that he has won the silver medal, Joshua has returned to Aruba to relax a little after his intense training. He will be staying for one or two months, whereafter he will return to continue training to achieve his goals.
