Confirmed: Minimum wage to increase next year

With the slogan of “I’m with you”, the Minister of Labour, Integration and Energy, Glenbert Croes announced that he just signed the decree to increase the minimum wage of Aruba.

“I just signed the decree to increase the minimum wage effective January 1, 2023 as the Minister of Labour, Energy and Integration. The increase of the minimum wage under MEP between 2001 and 2009 was 431 florins. The Government of AVP in 2009 to 2017 increased this by just 134 florins. In 5 years time, The Wever-Croes Cabinet 1 & 2 increased the minimum wage with 216.06 florins. Progress for all” said the public official.

Effective January 1st, 2023, the minimum salary will increase with Afl. 78,06 and become Afl. 1893,40 per month.
