Saturday afternoon at around 12:30 pm, a stabbing took place at an apartment complex located in Uruguaystraat. This apartment complex houses many foreigners and it appears that a discussion broke out amongst the residents that escalated, including the use of a weapon.
The police closed the apartment complex while they waited for the forensic team to arrive. During this process, they will be taking pictures of the scene, taking measurements, and getting statements from those present at the scene, such as neighbors, to ask what they may have seen or heard that could potentially explain what exactly took place.
An ambulance transported the victim, a young man, to the hospital. No further information could be gathered at the scene .A few witnesses at the scene mentioned that the incident involved members of the same family, while others stated that it was an issue between a couple.
The state of the victim is not yet known, but the presence of so many authorities goes to show the severity of the case!
