Taekwondon Team Aruba wins four medals in Florida Cup

During the weekend, Taekwondo Team Aruba traveled to Miami to participate in the Florida Cup with three athletes and two coaches. Joshua Klaber, who is the coach of Aruba and the president of Taekwondo Team Aruba, led the team. In the -58 kg category, Joshua Klaber fought against Emmanuel from Mexico. In the first round, Joshua Klaber won with a score of 14-0, and in the second round, he knocked out Emmanuel. Joshua Klaber won gold in this category.

Monica Pimentel, who wanted more for the team, reached out to the organizers to let Joshua Klaber fight in the -63 kg category. Joshua Klaber then fought against Jean from Russell Beneby school in Tamarac. Joshua Klaber won both rounds against Jean and earned his second gold medal. Veronica Camara coached Isabella Bogevad and Stuart Smit Jr, who both won bronze medals.

Monica Pimentel thanked the people of Aruba for their contributions and donations during the fundraising on the Renaissance bridge, which made the trip to Miami possible. The team participated in the Florida Cup and won two gold medals and two bronze medals.
