Rhythmic Gymnastics has arrived in Aruba loaded with medals

Perla Gymnastics returned from their trip to the United States where they participated with nine children in the Rhythmic Art Invitational 2023 competition in Miami, Florida. They returned with several medals.

Miguel Arrebola, president of Perla Gymnastics, indicated that they traveled to Miami with their Rhythmic Gymnastics group for a competition. They had a good performance record there. Perla Gymnastics is extremely proud of each child who represented Aruba in Miami.

They took part in the competition with nine participants in levels three, four, and eight. They achieved medal-winning performances. They have two athletes, Ariana Croes and Shayna Toppenberg, who are among the most experienced in this sport. They were practically among the first to start with Rhythmic Gymnastics in Aruba.

The competition in Miami was not Ariana Croes’ first. She stated that it went well. Their participation exceeded their expectations, and she is happy with all the medals. Croes emphasized her readiness to represent Aruba abroad and her enthusiasm.

They hope to participate in the South American Gymnastics Championships in Cali, Colombia, in October, but they have to see how the year unfolds. Training for the competition is quite intense, especially for her and Shayna, who are the most experienced. The heat makes it even more exhausting. “We work very hard, and it’s really good. We’re happy,” she expressed.
