Last Saturday, local taekwondo academies participated in the Cas Bon Taekwondo Cup at the Brazil Community Center. The athletes were showing their abilities while fighting against their opponents.
Jeroan Nicholson of Noord Taekwondo Center fought his first fight against Jahliano Villiora of Brazil Taekwondo Stichting and was victorious. In the end, Jeroan Nicholson confronted Elijah Tjie-A-Loi of San Nicolaas Taekwondo Center. It was a spectacular fight from the second it started. Jeroan Nicholson was victorious and was the final winner in the youth category.
Jewell Illidge of ETU Taekwondo Foundation returned after a three-year hiatus and demonstrated his flexibility in the sport. The public was in awe as he battled against Jedwin Inocencia of Noord Taekwondo Center.
Nicole Tromp of Estrella Taekwondo Center came well prepared and faced off against Shenille Perez of Noord Taekwondo Center, which Nicole won.
All in all it was a successful event that really showcased the rising talents we have on the island.
