Minister Ursell Arends has no intentions of closing SABA

Friday, SABA employees gathered in front of the “Bestuurskantoor ” to express their displeasure regarding the current situation in care facilities that fall under this foundation.

One of the main issues involves a dispute regarding the employee salaries, and whether or not the government needs to pay the employees their dues. This all depends on an investigation to determine if funds were allotted for SABA.

IT IS NOT CLOSING

Minister Ursell Arends has no intention of closing the care facilities under SABA. He mentioned that they are very necessary in our community and that this form of elderly care is something that the government should guarantee.

They are asking for some clarity as to where the funds have been allocated, as any foundation that received public funding should also be held responsible to be able to show the government where the funds have gone to.

The Minister hopes that this discussion will no longer be public and that they can all regroup in private to settle the matter.
