Two recent promotions of key Team Members at the Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino denoted well-deserved rewards for dedication, loyalty, and high performance.
Assistant Director of Finance, Mayrene Wilsoe Winterdaal, at the resort since 2019, has been promoted to the position of Director of Finance. Mayrene, an Aruban native has been an integral part of the team, and has demonstrated her exceptional skills and strategic mindset in her field.
As the Director of Finance, Mayrene will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the organization, including financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Mayrene’s promotion is a testament to opportunities within the hospitality industry for local Arubans to shine and reach key positions within the island’s prime economic pillar, and within the Hilton organization.
As a young mother to adorable Matteo, Mayrene appreciates family life, enjoys cooking, and catching up with friends, while still finding time for her mind & body connection hobby, running. She considers becoming a mother to be the most incredible experience she has ever had, and is settling into a great balance between doing her job which she loves, and enjoying quality time with her family.
Director of Finance, Lennart de Bie, at the resort since 2019, has been promoted to the position of Director of Operations at the Hilton Aruba. Lennart has been an invaluable member of the team through the pandemic, demonstrating exceptional dedication, expertise, and commitment, driving positive change, contributing to the recovery and success of the resort post-pandemic, and he has proven instrumental in fostering a collaborative work environment that promotes growth and excellence within the team.
As Director of Operations, Lennart will oversee the strategic planning and implementation of various operational initiatives, ensuring the highest standards of service and guest satisfaction. He will be responsible for managing overall hotel operations with an emphasis on the resort expansion and enhancement, encompassing the launching of the property’s fourth tower of guestrooms, and the revitalization of existing guestrooms and facilities, including the lobby, restaurants and bars.
Lennart brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having previously worked as the Finance Manager at various other Hilton properties. His diverse experience also includes previous work among other hotels in the Caribbean, before joining the Hilton Aruba family. As a Team Member, he is known for his passion for running and biking, which reflects his enthusiasm and determination in both his personal and professional life.
Both Mayrene and Lennart welcomed new, Canadian born, General Manager Lawrence (Larry) Tuck, who joined the Hilton Aruba family in April, 2023. Larry is entrusted to oversee the guest experience and hotel operations of the 357-room property at its iconic beach location.
Larry began his hospitality journey in the global culinary scene with various brands, and transitioned through Food & Beverage and Resort Management positions across Four Seasons, Fairmont and Nobu Hotels. Hilton Aruba is proud to welcome Larry to the team.
