During this past week, Aruba participated in the ‘World Games Special Olympics’ in Germany, and one of Aruba’s strongest teams is for soccer.
The moment culminated on Saturday when Aruba played against South Africa for the winning title. Due to different factors, Aruba was not victorious in the game against South Africa, the final score was 3-1.
During an interview with coach Sjurendi Granviel, he said that he was very pleased with Aruba’s performance. They did their best and gave it their all. They even took some risks in the final game, which unfortunately did not secure them the win. The coach finished off by saying that while they did not win the gold medal, in his heart the team is gold!
