Flight to Sint Maarten effected by bad weather

Aruba experienced a significant amount of rain yesterday morning, but compared to the weather that Sint Maarten experienced, it might as well be disregarded. The weather in Sint Maarten was so bad that roads had to be closed and flights were not able to land safely. This was the case for the flight from Aruba as well, which had to turn around because it was not able to land in Sint Maarten.

The showers started in the early morning hours and lasted throughout the day.

According to our sources, a group of passengers was headed from Aruba to Sint Maarten with Jet Air. This flight goes via Curacao, and it was there that the group received the news that their flight was not able to continue due to the bad weather. The flight then had to return to Aruba until further notice.
