Aruban flag flies in Japan after Rio Richardson’s triumph

While he was not born nor does he live in Aruba, he pays respect to his Aruban heritage by repping our flag. He was raised with such love for Aruba that when he went to compete abroad for MMA, he did so under Aruba’s name. The man in question is Rio Richardson, who triumphed in Japan this past weekend.

At first, Richardson participated in kickboxing, but recently he started participating in the MMA category. The Dutch Aruban man is famous for his kickboxing in both The Netherlands and Aruba and he has even participated in the World Fighting League.

He went against the Japanese man Izaya Maki (1-0-0).  Rio lives in Amsterdam, but his entire family lives in Aruba. He is proud to waive the Aruban flag. Congratulations to Rio Richardson
