Monday afternoon police went to Semeleerstraat to tend to a peculiar case. Upon their arrival, they encountered a very tense situation and a dead dog.
The first patrol unit that arrived at the scene requested backup right away. They spoke to both parties involved, the owner of the dog as well as the person who defended themself. According to our sources, a pitbull entered the neighbor’s yard and started attacking someone. In self-defense, the neighbors wielded a machete and killed the dog. The owner of the dog was not at all pleased with this outcome.
