Last week Friday, TOPA went to the “Directie Arbeid en Onderzoek” (DAO) building in relation to a mold issue.
On the 31st of May, three people were tasked with creating a report to showcase the situation in the DAO building, but the time has passed and nothing has been done.
Alonso Tromp, leader of the TOPA association went to DAO to assess the mold issue. They requested a meeting with the director and asked that they make a report concerning the mold issue inside the building.
During the meeting, however, the director informed the association that this report had not been made, which TOPA found to be unacceptable. This makes it seem as if the director does not care about the mold issue inside the building nor the damages that it may be causing to the health of all the employees.
This is the reason why the employees went on an indefinite strike until a solution is found to this alarming health risk.
