There were two fires at the Bubali Plas today, but one grew and formed a risk to the surrounding area. This fire had expanded so quickly that it was threatening The Mill Resort and Olde Molen. Nearly all the firefighting units were dispatched to the area in an attempt to stop the flames from spreading any further.
The police closed off multiple roads that lead to this area in order to allow all the firefighters to do their work safely and to prevent more people from getting too close to the area. An ambulance was requested to tend to a few people who had become ill due to smoke inhalation. The paramedics refused to get too close to the fire and started treating victims next to the House of Cheng.
The police ordered the manager of Marriott Courtyard and The Mill to evacuate its guests and employees from the area. Luckily, the firefighters were able to extinguish the fire and things went back to normal in no time.
