Gustave Nouel on Aruba as a special guest of ATA

The Aruban artist GN (www.gustavenouel.nl), who lives in Deventer, is once again in Aruba. This time as a special guest of ATA (Aruba Tourism Authority) to update his former painting of the ATA CEOs.

Nouel handed over a book to the current CEO of ATA, Ronella Croes, to promote an international tour of the four-language book MOTHERSHIP (https://lmpublishers.nl/product/moederschap/). After the start in Aruba, with exhibitions and workshops by Zuleika Coffie and GN, it will be offered to all parts of our Kingdom. In addition to ATA’s support for the start in Aruba in May 2024, this project can also count on support from the National Library of Aruba, Cultural Affairs, and other major players like the University of Aruba and UNESCO.

When Aruba Art Fair learned from ATA that GN would be in Aruba for a while, he was approached with a request to bring a painting for the Art Fair exhibition. GN participates with the ‘quasi-abstract’ painting ‘EYE OF GOD’… There are also projects in preparation, together with Mo Mohammed and Zuleika Coffie in Rancho, the oldest part of Oranjestad, on the occasion of the celebration of 200 years of Oranjestad in 2024.

There is a time for everything. The celebration of 200 years of Oranjestad is also a good opportunity to try to make the dream of creating a MUSEO ARUBANO a reality. An Aruban Cultural Dream of more than 30 years! And now even with an Amphitheater and Art Circle to support all art disciplines in Aruba.
