Couple’s dispute: “He’s worse than trash”

Tuesday night at around 9:30 pm, the police rushed to Paradijswijk to tend to an argument. Initial reports stated that a man was assaulting his partner, so the police rushed to the scene. Upon their arrival, the police were met with shoes strewn across the street, with the man standing on one side, and the woman on the other.

They were screaming at one another and the police separated the two after introducing themselves. According to the woman, she was completely fed up with the man and said he was useless. He does not cook, do the laundry, watch the children, or let out the dog.

She feels that the man puts himself first before her or even their children. The police patiently listened to her tearful statement while the other agent listened to the man’s statement. The man basically agreed with everything the woman said, but he could not cope with her constant screaming and nagging.

In order to escape her nagging, he went to a nearby park, which is where the police found them. While this is usually not a matter in which they would intervene, they tried to resolve the issue, albeit temporarily. In the end, the issue appeared to be calm, but the police urged them to seek professional help.
