A total of 125 Tropical Bottling Company employees united this morning to clean the Grapefield Beach area. This was done in connection with World Coastal CleanUp Day and World Beach Clean Up Day.
This initiative by Coca Cola is called “World Without Waste”. On the employee’s T-shirts you can see the slogan “#somosaliados” which translates to ‘we are allies’. This slogan aims to unite Coca Cola Aruba with the rest of Latin America as well as the Caribbean.
By 6:00 am, the Tropical Bottling Company employees were already starting to pick up the trash on the beach, which had mostly been washed up on shore. They cleaned a span of roughly 2.5 km worth of beach. The total amount of trash that was collected still has to be calculated.
This way, the Tropical Bottling Company agents have shown their dedication in demonstrating how seriously they take their promise to be upstanding corporate citizens. Tropical Bottling falls under MetaCorp, established in 1920, the longest existing Aruban Company still operational on the island.
